Meet us at the Heathfield Agricultural Show!

Come and meet us at the Heathfield Agricultural Show on Saturday 25 May!

Find us on stand C36 (opposite Ring 2) for a chat and a drink.

We have fun for all ages with three special performances of The Nightjar’s Journey; the story of one bird’s epic migration journey through the High Weald landscape and beyond, told with puppetry and wildlife soundscapes.

Learn about the challenges these precious and rare ground nesting birds face, including light pollution and habitat loss – you can even make your own Nightjar puppet to take home!

Performance times:

  • 10.30am
  • 1pm
  • 3pm

The Nightjar’s Journey is performed in partnership with Ashdown Forest Education.

Advice for farmers and land managers

Farmers, land managers and community groups can come along for an informal chat about grant funding opportunities for environmental projects – including the new High Weald Nature and Community Fund, which launched last week.

Lastly, you can sign up for more information about our two upcoming free events: the High Weald Walking Festival and the Wild About Dark Skies Festival, both taking place this Autumn.

The Heathfield Agricultural Show is a great day out for all the family, offering a unique taste of country life. From local food and traditional crafts to working steam engines and the ubiquitous livestock competitions, there really is something for everyone. And best of all, under-16s can enter free of charge.

We look forward to seeing you there.
