Join our free Community Green Space events: 30 Sep & 28 Oct

Are you responsible for managing local parks, gardens, playing fields, churchyards or other community green spaces in the High Weald? Do you need ideas for creating new wildlife habitats or restoring precious heritage features in your area?

The High Weald AONB team is hosting two free events packed with ideas and inspiration for environment improvement projects that could be funded by the Sussex Lund grant programme in 2022.

Join us for a leisurely walk and be inspired by previous successful habitat creation and restoration projects at two locations in the High Weald: Ticehurst village (Thursday 30 September) and Holy Trinity School, Cuckfield (NEW DATE: Thursday 28th October)

We’ll also highlight other improvements that could benefit your own community green spaces, such as:

  • Meadow corridors
  • Greening your village
  • Heritage restoration
  • Protection of species
  • Woodland management
  • Community gardens
  • Enhancing your wildlife
