Fun for all at the High Weald Walking Festival
Thanks to all who took part in the High Weald Walking Festival 2021
What a pleasure to be out walking in groups again! It’s been a privilege to show off this spectacular and historic landscape with 34 free guided walks across the AONB.
We had sunny walks, rainy walks; sunrise, daytime and twilight walks; nature walks, history walks, walks with train rides, walks with fungi-spotting, stargazing and abbey-exploring. Big walks, small walks, challenging walks and gentle walks; not to mention the 30 self-guided walking routes that enabled residents and visitors alike to explore the AONB at their own pace.
See if you can spot yourself in our collage below – if you have any photos you’d be happy for us to share, please do send them to us!
If you’ve not already done so, we’d really appreciate it if you could tell us about your walking experience using our quick and easy online form: highwealdwalks.org/feedback. Your feedback will be a huge help as we make plans for next year.
Interested in more walks?
The Self-Guided Walks page of the Festival website now features ideas and inspiration for other places to walk in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Beauty, including the High Weald Landscape Trail and the revamped 1066 Country Walk from Pevensey to Rye. Take a look and start your next High Weald adventure.
