Clouds B&B lies on the Kent and Sussex border near Bodiam within the High Weald AONB and was built in the 1930's by Guinness as a hop workers cottage. Clouds was extended some twenty four years ago and recently refurbished to provide a modern, comfortable and attractive home. It enjoys panoramic views over the Rother Valley and Bodiam Castle and offers delightful walking linked with the 1066 Walk and the Saxon foreshore path.
The Kent & East Sussex steam railway runs between Bodiam and the attractive market town of Tenterden. There are museums, art galleries, vineyards, beautiful gardens and historic houses within easy driving distance, including Great Dixter, Pashley Manor, Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst and Batemans. Lovely Winchelsea, the Ancient Cinque Port of Rye with cobbled streets, and the delightful small town of Battle with its famous 1066 site and Abbey are about eight miles away, and well worth a visit. Two characterful country inns are within strolling distance and provide good food and a warm welcome. Two miles away is The Curlew, an excellent Michelin Starred Restaurant.
Clouds is available exclusively to one group of up to four guests at a time and has a 5 Star Gold Award and a Good Breakfast Award from Visit England’s Quality in Tourism scheme.
