High Weald

treehouseinteriorThis stunning and unique tree house is located in a woodland and farmland setting just two miles from the historic village of Wadhurst. Built around a mature oak, the tree house offers modern, comfortable self-catering accommodation for two – ideal for a romantic break, anniversary or even honeymoon. The facilities include a fully fitted kitchen, en-suite shower room and sheltered sun-deck.

The Tree House was built by a company who design specialist, luxury tree house buildings around the world (it used to be their office!), so you can guarantee it will be good! Where better to stay in a wooden tree house than in the High Weald: one of the most wooded areas of England and where most of the woodland is classified as ancient - having been in existence for over 400 years. This ancient woodland was sustainably managed for centuries; with mature trees extracted for house and ship building, and the coppiced underwood producing material for fencing hurdles, laths for walls, and charcoal.

The Tree House is in the middle of great walking and cycling country; with many miles of local footpaths to explore on foot, and quiet bridleways and country lanes with enticing country pubs to find on a bike. Just beyond Wadhurst is Bewl Water Reservoir, and its 13 mile perimeter walking and cycling route makes for a great day out.
