About this event
We will begin with a presentation and group workshop, followed by an optional walk around a local meadow.
Agenda:
- Classifications of grassland
- What grassland have I got?
- How different management influences species composition
- Contracting someone else to do a grassland survey – things to consider
- Optional site visit to a local meadow with some plant ID practice.
Need to know:

- The meadow site is about 10 minutes drive from the village hall, there is limited parking on the farm so we will car share from the hall
- Tea and coffee will be provided.
Who is this event for?
This event is for farmers already taking part in the Farm for the Future programme, and those interested in learning more about it and potentially joining for next year. There is no obligation to join the scheme if you attend this event – just come along and meet the team for a chat (no hard sell, we promise!)
Any owner-occupied or tenant farm currently in receipt of BPS in England can take part if you have not already received free support through the Future Farm Resilience Fund. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please get in touch with Steph who can confirm your eligibility.
