About this event

This event is hosted by by Phiz from Standing Hall Estate and Christine Meadows from the High Weald National Landscape Partnership.

Forestry operations on High Weald terrain and soils are difficult at the best of times, and made even more so by wet winters and heavier rainfall events. The Standing Hall Estate intends to improve biodiversity and timber management productivity through the use of innovative machinery such as the Pfanzelt Moritz, grant funded through the Farming in Protected Landscapes programme.

This event is an opportunity to see the usefulness of the equipment in low impact forwarding, rhododendron clearance and other forestry operations.
