The High Weald - Exploring the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Published in 1994 by the Countryside Commission. The documents identifies nine areas within the AONB that have a visual cohesiveness and sense of place. The document has ben superceded by the High Weald AONB Management Plan which focused on the components of natural beauty that have made the area a distinct and homogenous area for at least the last 700 years and that will continue to define it in future.
