Land Management Officer / Land Management Project Officer

We're seeking an experienced individual who can advise and inspire land managers, farmers and communities across the High Weald – playing a leading role in achieving positive land management change within a nationally protected landscape.

Using your environmental knowledge and a range of landscape data and evidence you will undertake advisory site visits, produce maps and reports, and offer guidance and support with grant applications and the practicalities of project implementation.

Contract type: Permanent
Work pattern: Full Time
Hours: 37
Salary: £28,815 - £30,973 per annum (Officer role) or £32,037 - £38,354 per annum (Project Officer role). Please note we are advertising two job descriptions with salary grades that reflect level of experience. However we are only recruiting to one role.

Access and Recreation Officer

 

An exciting opportunity to develop and deliver a programme of activities to enable people of all ages and backgrounds to connect with the High Weald’s landscape. This role requires the ability to establish and develop relationships with a wide range of people; ideally you will have experience of community engagement and a track record in setting up, running and promoting events and activities.

You will also identify projects suitable for capital investment and facilitate their delivery. The scope of the role is broad and allows exploration of imaginative and different ways of facilitating access and enjoyment.

Work pattern: Part time to full time
Hours: 22.2 to 37
Salary: £28,815 - £34,452 per annum, pro rata
